At Dulce Design, we choose materials that allow us to create contemporary jewelry through on-demand production. Each material contributes different qualities, such as lightness, durability, brilliance, or comfort, and is used according to the needs of each design.
Plant-Based PLA
Most of our pieces are made using 3D printing with PLA, a biopolymer derived from renewable plant-based resources such as corn.
3D printing allows us to produce only the pieces we need, reducing excess inventory and making efficient use of materials. PLA is also lightweight and durable, making it well suited for comfortable everyday wear.
Once printing is complete, each piece undergoes a manual finishing and inspection process before being shipped.
Cubic Zirconia
Some of our collections feature cubic zirconia stones in a variety of sizes and grades, including 5A cubic zirconia.
Their clarity and precision cut reflect light beautifully, adding subtle points of brilliance that complement each design.
The size and placement of every stone are chosen according to the design so that it integrates naturally into the overall composition.
K9 Crystals
Several of our collections incorporate K9 crystals, an optical glass widely used in jewelry for its clarity and light-reflecting properties.
We work with a variety of shapes and sizes, including round, rectangular, and marquise-cut crystals. Depending on the design, we use different cuts, including 32- and 33-facet crystals, as well as other geometries that create distinctive lighting effects.
Whenever the size and shape of the crystal allow it, the crystal is integrated directly during the 3D printing process without the use of adhesives. When this is not possible, the attachment method is specified in the product description.
Hypoallergenic Stainless Steel
Our chains, hoops, posts, clasps, and other metal components are made from hypoallergenic stainless steel.
We use this material for its durability and its resistance to moisture and corrosion. It also helps reduce the risk of irritation for people with sensitive skin.
Depending on the collection, metal components may feature either a silver-tone or gold-tone finish.
On-Demand Production
Most of our pieces are made to order or produced in small batches.
This approach allows us to manufacture only the quantities we need while reducing unnecessary inventory.
Each piece is inspected before shipping to ensure its finish and functionality meet our standards.
Care
Although the materials we use are suitable for everyday wear, we recommend avoiding prolonged contact with water, perfumes, creams, and other chemicals. Storing each piece separately and handling it with care will help preserve its appearance over time.
